Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a seasoned Python backend developer to architect scalable cloud-based solutions. You will build robust APIs, implement data workflows with Polars and Pandas, and optimize SQL-backed databases in a fast-paced, global team.

Responsibilities include AWS service usage (Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, Athena), IaC with CloudFormation or CDK, and collaborating across time zones. Hybrid work with on-site Tuesdays and Wednesdays is offered.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of Python backend development experience.
• Proficiency in Polars, Pandas, and SQL.
• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, and Athena.

• Flexibility & Drive: Amenable to a midshift schedule (working US holidays) with a hybrid setup (on-site Tuesdays and Wednesdays), and ready to showcase your analytical skills through a practical problem-solving exam.
