Job summary

Seequent in Manila, Philippines, is seeking a Senior Project Geologist to support APAC geology modelling solutions, with emphasis on the Philippines. This office-based role combines deep technical geoscience expertise with client engagement, from trial to advanced adoption of Seequent’s software.

Qualifications

• Geoscience qualification up to Bachelor level with preference for Geology.
• 8+ years of experience in Philippines mining market with a strong track record in exploration or mining roles.
• Fluent English and Filipino at a highly technical level, able to communicate complex ideas.
• Experience and solid understanding in geological modelling workflows for various commodities.
• Strong skills in 3D geological modelling software and applying software solutions to mining challenges.
• Proficient in using Leapfrog to create geological models and understanding advanced features of the software.

Responsibilities

• Share expert-level product knowledge and workflows with new and existing users in the mining sector to ensure effective use of Seequent’s geoscience tools.
• Maintain knowledge of Seequent’s solutions, focusing on Leapfrog and Central.
• Collaborate with sales teams to advance opportunities via product demonstrations, understanding client workflows, setting up trials, and creating implementation plans to maximise client success.
• Provide remote technical support and guidance, developing tailored solutions for complex mining challenges.
• Proactively reach out to clients to conduct health checks, promote new software releases, and embed new features and best practices in their workflows.
• Deliver regular training sessions on Leapfrog Geo, Leapfrog Edge and Central (1–2 sessions per month, 2–4 days each) to enhance user proficiency.

About the Role

As a Senior Project Geologist based in Manila, Philippines, you will play a critical role in supporting the success of Seequent’s geological modelling solutions across the Asia-Pacific region, with a strong focus on the Philippines and emerging Asian mining markets. This office-based, hands‑on role combines deep technical expertise with strong customer engagement, working closely with clients from trial through to advanced adoption of Seequent’s geoscience software.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

• Share expert‑level product knowledge, workflows, and integrated solutions with new and existing users in the mining sector, ensuring effective use of Seequent’s geoscience tools.
• Maintain a significant knowledge, competence and capability of Seequent’s solutions, with a primary focus on Leapfrog, and Central solutions.
• Collaborate with sales teams, including Account Managers and Inside Sales, to advance opportunities by conducting product demonstrations, understanding client workflows, setting up trials, and creating implementation plans to maximise client success.
• Provide remote technical support and guidance, working through specific examples with users and developing tailored solutions for complex mining challenges.
• Proactively reach out to clients to conduct health checks, promote new software releases, and embed new features and best practices in their workflows.
• Deliver regular training sessions on Leapfrog Geo, Leapfrog Edge and Central, typically conducting 1–2 sessions per month, each lasting 2–4 days, to enhance user proficiency and confidence in the software.

To be successful in this role you should have:

• Geoscience qualification to up to Bachelor level (with a preference for Geology).
• 8+ years of experience in Philippines mining market, either in exploration and/or mining roles, with a strong track record in the industry.
• Fluent English and Filipino at a highly technical and professional level, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
• Experience and solid understanding in geological modelling workflows for various commodities.
• Strong skills in 3D geological modelling software, with the ability to apply software solutions to real‑world mining challenges.
• Proficient in using Leapfrog to create geological models, with a solid grasp of the software’s advanced features.

This is a full‑time, office‑based role located in Manila, Philippines, with approximately 10–20% travel across the Asia‑Pacific region.
