Job summary

KUBOTA Water and Environment Philippines Corporation is seeking an Engineer to assist the Project Manager in planning, drawing preparation, and monitoring project progress. You will supervise project engineers and CAD operators, prepare electrical and installation plans, and liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

The role requires ARCP registration and 3–5 years of related experience. The position is based in Laguna Technopark and involves field-based site work at project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a reputable university.
• PRC registered Engineer credential.
• 3–5 years of design experience in industrial facilities and electro-mechanical installation.
• Experience in water or wastewater treatment design, installation, or operation is an advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; able to supervise subordinates.
• Familiarity with water/wastewater plant processes; able to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist project manager in planning and drawing preparation and monitor progress.
• Supervise and instruct project engineer and cad operator in plan/drawings.
• Prepare building and installation permit plans and electrical plans (cable routes, isometrics).
• Monitor site installation progress and provide technical interpretation of drawings.
• Liaise with customers, contractors, government agencies, and site management.
• Provide site management assistance when needed; full-time position.

Job description

OVER-ALL FUNCTION

Assist the Project Manager to lead the preparation of plans/drawings and monitors the progress of the project.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• A. Prepares plans and documents such as:
• Project Schedule
• Electrical and Instrument Specification
• Bill of Material/ Quantities
• Sub-contract Scope of Work / Supply
• Progress Reports and Billing
• B. Supervises, instructs, reviews the work of Project Engineer and Cad Operator in the preparation of:
• Building and installation permit application plans/drawings/documents;
• Electrical plans such as:
• (i)Electrical Installation plans / drawings such as Cable and Conduit Schedule, Cable Route, Isometric Drawing, Secondary Support and etc.
• (ii) Control Panel Reference Drawing
• (iii) Control Panel Details Drawing (is optional but an advantage);
• (iv)PLC Logic Diagram
• (v) Melsec PLC/HMI programming (is optional but an advantage);
• (vi) Final Document;
• C. Monitors the progress of site installation;
• D. Provides technical assistance to the site manager/ supervisor in the interpretation of plan/ drawings;
• E. Liaise with the customer, general contractor, government agencies, industrial park management, and other parties.
• F. Assist in site management/ project supervision, if necessary;
• G. Full time position.

Skills and Competencies:

• 1) Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a reputable University;
• 2) PRC registered Engineer;
• 3) 3 - 5 years of experience in design of industrial facilities and/or installation of electro- mechanical equipment. Experience in water or wastewater treatment design, installation, or operation is an advantage;
• 4) Working knowledge in the application of various electro-mechanical equipment and instruments;
• 5) Experience in project or sub-contractor supervision / management;
• 6) Familiarity in water and wastewater treatment plant process;
• 7) Proficient in general engineering principles;
• 8) Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office;
• 9) Can handle multiple task often with competing deadlines;
• 10) Must have a good scholastic records;
• 11) Must be willing to work in Laguna Technopark, Inc. and Project Sites;
