Job summary

COGNEX SINGAPORE INC. is seeking a Production Operator to support all production activities within the distribution area, including assembly, testing, loading customer-specific software, and related tasks to meet production targets.

Responsibilities include following order processes, loading software on vision systems, selecting materials per production orders, stocking correctly, and accurately picking items for delivery. Overtime is possible, and 1–2 years in a warehouse setting is preferred.

Job description

Please note: The position may be offered as either Production Operator or Senior Production Operator, depending on the applicant's qualifications and relevant experience.

The salary range advertised online represents the gross base salary and excludes overtime pay. Overtime is paid separately. As our regular working schedule is 44 hours per week, any hours worked beyond the standard daily working hours on weekdays will be treated as overtime and compensated accordingly.

About the role

This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of production within the distribution area. This includes assembly, test, loading of customer-specific software, and any other tasks required to meet production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure that all applicable processes and procedures are followed during the entire order process

• Load customer-specific software on vision systems, barcode readers and industrial PCs

• Use production orders to select the correct material and quantities to build customer kits and validate those kits against the appropriate production orders

• Place material into the correct stocking location / pull material from the correct location

• Use delivery pick lists to accurately pick sales order material and quantities for processing

• Ad hoc duties as instructed by the supervisor

About you

• High energy, self-motivated individual capable of performing system configuration, assembly, inspection, and kitting functions on customer orders

• Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks

• Ability to always maintain an elevated level of housekeeping and inventory accuracy

• Available to work overtime as needed

• 1-2 years' experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
