Job summary

De Nora is seeking a Senior Process Design Engineer in the Philippines to support the design of water, wastewater and ultrapure water treatment plants. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable process solutions, perform calculations, specify equipment, and lead project execution from concept through commissioning.

You should have a chemical/environmental/mechanical engineering degree with 8+ years in water treatment process design, strong technical writing skills, and

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical or similar).
• 8+ years as Process Engineer in Water/Wastewater/Ultrapure water systems.
• Hands-on experience with unit operations: coagulation, clarification, filtration, UF, RO, ion exchange, CAS, SBR, MBR, MBBR.
• Strong people and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent technical writing and reporting skills.
• Desalination, process control, testing and commissioning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design development for water, wastewater and ultrapure water treatment unit operations and technologies, including calculations, specs, pipe sizing and equipment selection.
• Provide cost effective solutions while ensuring technical compliance with client requirements.
• Provide training and mentoring to Process Engineers and other personnel.
• Lead a team of engineers during project execution.
• Develop P&ID and PFD with multi-discipline teams.
• Provide process expertise for troubleshooting and operations optimization.
• Support tender teams with technical inputs as needed.
• Develop and maintain process engineering templates.
• Follow all Group quality directives and suggest improvements.
• Travel as needed.

We’re looking for a Senior Process Design Engineer to support and deliver the design of water, wastewater, and industrial/ultrapure water treatment systems. This role works closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop reliable, efficient process solutions, provide technical guidance, and support successful project execution.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical or similar relevant qualification)
• Minimum of eight (8) years work experience as Process Engineer in Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems including process design.
• Proven direct knowledge-base and experience in Water, Wastewater, and Industrial/Ultrapure Water treatment unit operations and technologies such as Chemical Pre-treatment (i.e. coagulation, flocculation), Clarifiers, Granular Filtration, Disinfection, UF, SWRO, BWRO, Ion Exchange (i.e. Softening, Demin), CAS, SBR, MBR, MBBR, Chemical Dosing Systems, Instrument/Plant Air Systems, etc.
• Effective People and Stakeholder Management skills
• Effective technical writing and reporting skills
• Expertise on Desalination, Process Control, Granular Filtration, Testing and Commissioning is an added advantage.

Job Responsibilities

• Process engineering design development for Water, Wastewater, and Industrial/Ultrapure Water treatment unit operations and technologies such as Chemical Pre-treatment (i.e. coagulation, flocculation), Clarifiers, Granular Filtration, Disinfection, UF, SWRO, BWRO, Ion Exchange (i.e. Softening, Demin), CAS, SBR, MBR, MBBR, Chemical Dosing Systems, Instrument/Plant Air Systems, etc.) which includes but not limited to process calculations, technical specifications, pipe sizing, equipment selection.
• Provide cost effective solutions while ensuring technical compliance with client requirements.
• Provide necessary training and mentoring to Process Engineers and other relevant personnel
• Ensure robust and efficient system design.
• To lead a team of engineers during Project Execution Phase.
• Work together with multi-discipline engineering team to develop P&ID and PFD for water and wastewater treatment systems.
• To provide process expertise for troubleshooting and operations optimization for De Nora Water systems.
• Provide technical support to tender team for potential projects as needed.
• Develop and maintain all assigned process related engineering templates.
• To follow all Group quality directives and input and suggest improvements where relevant.
• To follow the company’s policy to ensure as much project scope as possible is kept within the Group.
• Ensure all the work task is following the requirement in the QMS system.
• Ensure all deliverables are met within the agreed timeline and costs.
• Provide technical support during technical and commercial meetings with customers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Maintain effective communication with all internal and external relevant disciplines.
• Attend all relevant trainings and seminars.
• Perform any other duties required by the Superior from time to time.
• Able to travel when needed.
