Thakral One is seeking a Senior PMO Consultant – Banking Transformation to embed within the client’s PMO, strengthening governance and delivery across a portfolio of banking transformation initiatives. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, Management, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in PMO, programme/project governance, technology transformation, or related roles.
• Experience in established PMO function, preferably supporting multiple concurrent projects or a transformation portfolio.
• Significant Banking or Financial Services experience and understanding of banking technology and transformation environments.
• Hands-on experience in project and portfolio planning and tracking, RAID management, governance, executive reporting, stakeholder coordination, and project documentation.
• Experience in requirements definition, vendor or solution evaluation, or other techno-functional project activities is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

As a Senior PMO Consultant – Banking Transformation, you will work as an embedded member of the client’s Project Management Office, strengthening governance and delivery across a portfolio of strategic banking transformation initiatives. You will combine senior-level PMO expertise with techno-functional support to improve planning, oversight, decision-making, and execution readiness.

What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed

• Support the PMO Head in planning, governing, monitoring, and reporting strategic transformation initiatives.
• Establish and maintain project plans, milestones, dependencies, RAID logs, actions, decisions, and other standard PMO controls.
• Monitor initiative progress and proactively surface delivery risks, issues, dependencies, and required management actions.
• Maintain consistency and quality across project documentation, governance processes, status reporting, and vendor deliverables.
• Coordinate across business, technology, project teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to support effective portfolio delivery.
• Prepare high-quality PMO reports, dashboards, steering committee materials, and executive and management presentations.

Initiative & Techno-Functional Support

• Conduct current-state assessments and support the definition of business, functional, and technical requirements for prioritised initiatives.
• Develop initiative plans, evaluation frameworks, recommendations, and materials that support management decision‑making.
• Review technology solutions, vendor proposals, architecture, integration considerations, and operating‑model implications with relevant specialists.
• Support vendor and solution evaluations, shortlisting, workshops, and coordination.
• Provide structured PMO and techno‑functional support across banking transformation initiatives, including core banking, digital banking, payments, data and analytics, fintech, and related technology programmes.
• Work closely with the PMO Head, senior management, business and technology teams, project leads, and external vendors.
• Facilitate effective communication, follow‑through, and escalation across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Produce clear, concise, executive‑level documentation that supports management and steering committee decision‑making.

Experience

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, Management, or a related discipline.
• You have at least eight (8) years of relevant experience in PMO, programme/project governance, technology transformation, or related roles.
• You have strong and demonstrable experience working within an established PMO function, preferably supporting multiple concurrent projects or a transformation portfolio.
• You bring significant Banking or Financial Services experience and a good understanding of banking technology and transformation environments.
• You have hands‑on experience in project and portfolio planning and tracking, RAID management, governance, executive reporting, stakeholder coordination, and project documentation.
• You have supported major technology or business transformation programmes involving multiple business, technology, and vendor stakeholders.
• Experience in requirements definition, vendor or solution evaluation, or other techno‑functional project activities is highly desirable.

• You have strong knowledge of PMO methodologies, governance frameworks, project controls, and reporting.
• You can understand business and technology requirements and work effectively across functional and technical teams.
