Smartsourcing is hiring a Senior Photo Editor (Architecture & Content) to craft high-end architectural and content photography into natural, moody visuals. You’ll apply advanced retouching, colour, lighting, and AI-assisted edits while maintaining brand alignment.

Based onsite in Cebu City, you’ll lead quality standards, mentor editors, and support overflow real estate editing, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional realism across projects.

Qualifications

Portfolio and hands-on expertise take precedence over formal qualifications.

Responsibilities

Hi! We're Smartsourcing, and we're hiring a full-time, onsite Senior Photo Editor (Architecture & Content) — the editing craft specialist who turns raw architectural and content photography into polished, brand-aligned visuals.

About The Role

As a Senior Photo Editor, you'll produce high-end edits of architectural and content photography — transforming raw imagery into natural, moody, brand-aligned visuals that elevate properties, spaces, and people. You'll apply advanced retouching, colour, lighting, flambient blending, and object-removal techniques (including AI-assisted tools where appropriate), investing the craft time each image demands while hitting agreed delivery timelines. As the team's editing craft specialist, you'll set and safeguard the quality standard, absorb overflow real estate editing when needed, and upskill new editors — the go-to resource the team relies on for complex, non-routine edits. It's a role for a genuine specialist who works independently, sweats the detail, and holds a high-end standard without compromising realism.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Photography Editing

Edit and retouch high-end architectural, interior, and new-build photography — including daylight and twilight/dusk imagery — to natural and moody editing styles
Apply advanced techniques including colour correction, lighting enhancement, and flambient blending of multiple exposures for true-to-life, high-impact images
Remove unwanted objects, distractions, and imperfections, using AI-assisted tools where appropriate while preserving a natural result
Invest the craft time each image requires to meet the high-end standard without compromising realism

Content Photography Editing

Edit and retouch content photography — headshots, portraits, and architectural imagery featuring talent or people — to a professional, polished standard
Apply natural skin, colour, and lighting retouching that flatters the subject while keeping results realistic
Combine architectural craft with people-focused retouching where content shots blend both
Maintain visual consistency across a shoot or campaign

Overflow Real Estate Editing

Take on overflow real estate editing when required to protect delivery turnaround and support team capacity
Apply efficient, consistent editing at higher volumes while preserving quality and adherence to client presets
Flag capacity or turnaround risks to the Photography Coordinator early

Editor Upskilling & Training

Onboard and train new editors on software, tools, editing styles, and quality standards
Provide hands-on training, worked examples of approved edits, and constructive feedback
Teach workflow, prioritisation, and self-review before submission
Create and maintain training materials, guides, and checklists
Act as the go-to resource for complex or non-routine editing questions

File Management & Continuous Improvement

Organise, label, and store photo files so they are accurate and easy to access
Self-review all work against quality standards before submission
Stay current with editing software, techniques, and trends, proactively researching and sharing new methods with the team

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Readiness and Digital Enablement

Maintain baseline AI literacy and use approved AI tools responsibly, in line with company policies, data privacy, information security, and client confidentiality obligations
Apply sound judgment by validating outputs and avoiding overreliance, ensuring accuracy and accountability in all work delivered
Participate in AI readiness trainings and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement through automation and responsible AI integration

What You'll Need To Succeed Experience

3-5+ years editing high-end property, architecture, interior, or content photography
Proven ability to work to natural and moody editing styles with minimal supervision
A demonstrated portfolio and hands‑on expertise take precedence over formal qualifications

Skills & Behaviours

Excellent eye for detail, composition, light, and colour, producing natural, realistic, high-end edits
Skilled in flambient blending, object/item removal, and sky replacement techniques
Skilled in AI-assisted editing tools applied responsibly to maintain a realistic result
Familiarity with virtual staging (digitally adding furniture/décor, decluttering) desirable but not essential
Clear, professional written communication; comfortable providing feedback, training, and mentorship within a distributed team

Education & Certifications

A qualification in Photography, Digital Imaging, Visual Arts, or a related creative field is advantageous but not essential
Cert IV in Photography or a Diploma in Photography & Digital Imaging favourable but not essential

Tools

Strong proficiency in industry-standard photo editing software; Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom advantageous
Comfortable using cloud file-storage and collaboration tools for asset management
