Job summary

BARRINGTON JAMES LIMITED SINGAPORE BRANCH is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to lead maintenance and operations for large-scale chilled water plants and HVAC systems. You will supervise technicians, coordinate with contractors and OEMs, and ensure safety and reliability of critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities include energy optimization, CMMS-driven maintenance, and frontline technical support for customers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• 5–10 years of relevant O&M experience on large chilled water plants.
• Hands-on experience with chilled water systems in commercial, industrial or utility environments.
• Knowledge of chilled water distribution to airside systems.
• Able to troubleshoot HVAC and ACMV faults independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise technicians and manage contractors for maintenance activities.
• Operate large-scale chilled water plants and HVAC systems; monitor performance and energy use.
• Plan and execute using CMMS for AHU, FCU and chilled water systems.
• Develop work plans, manage procurement, contractor evaluation, and costing.
• Troubleshoot airside systems and address faults, alarms, and anomalies.
• Ensure system availability, safety, and service delivery targets.
• Prepare monthly operational and efficiency reports.
