We're looking for a Senior OpenShift / Kubernetes Engineer to design, build, manage, and continuously improve enterprise-grade container platforms. This role combines hands-on OpenShift engineering with platform architecture, cloud infrastructure, security, automation, and operational excellence.
You’ll work with Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, RHEL, AWS, CI/CD, container orchestration, networking, storage, monitoring, and security technologies to build scalable and resilient platforms supporting modern enterprise applications.

What You'll Do
- Design, install, configure, upgrade, and manage Red Hat OpenShift clusters across enterprise environments.
- Manage the full OpenShift cluster lifecycle, including provisioning, upgrades, configuration, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
- Apply deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and container orchestration to build reliable and scalable platforms.
- Design and implement multi-cluster OpenShift environments to support availability, scalability, and resilience.
- Evaluate platform requirements and translate them into scalable technical architectures.
- Troubleshoot complex OpenShift and Kubernetes platform issues and drive root-cause resolution.
- Design and manage OpenShift environments running on AWS and hybrid cloud infrastructures.
- Develop scalable and secure cloud architectures aligned with enterprise requirements.
- Work with cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, and security teams to deliver integrated platform solutions.
- Support platform capacity, performance, availability, and disaster recovery requirements.
- Perform advanced administration of Red Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Configure and troubleshoot operating system, networking, storage, and platform-level issues.
- Ensure OpenShift infrastructure follows enterprise availability, performance, and security standards.
Networking
- Design and troubleshoot networking components supporting OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.
- Work with:
- Ingress
- Load Balancers
- DNS
- Routing
- Firewalls
- Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams to resolve complex connectivity and application access issues.
DevOps & Automation
- Integrate OpenShift platforms with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains.
- Support automated application deployment and release processes.
- Work with OpenShift Operators, OperatorHub, and Helm Charts to deploy and manage platform and application components.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive platform administration and operational activities.
- Promote Infrastructure as Code and automation best practices where applicable.
Storage & Data Services
- Design and support storage solutions for containerized workloads.
- Work with technologies such as:
- Amazon EFS
- NFS
- Amazon S3
- Ensure storage architectures meet application performance, availability, scalability, and security requirements.
Monitoring & Observability
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability solutions for OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.
- Monitor platform health, performance, capacity, and availability.
- Analyze logs and operational metrics to identify potential issues before they impact applications.
- Establish appropriate operational and platform health indicators.
Security & Compliance
- Implement enterprise security controls across OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.
- Manage and secure:
- RBAC
- OAuth
- Secrets
- Certificates
- Authentication and authorization
- Network security
- Apply security and compliance best practices throughout the container platform lifecycle.
- Identify security risks and work with Security teams to implement appropriate remediation measures.
What You'll Bring
- Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift, including:
- Configuration
- Troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture and container orchestration.
- Solid understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including:
- Ingress
- DNS
- Routing
- Firewalls
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift Operators, OperatorHub, and Helm Charts.
- Strong experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience designing or supporting scalable, secure, multi-cluster, or hybrid cloud architectures.
- Experience with OpenShift storage technologies such as EFS, NFS, and S3.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
- Strong knowledge of container platform security, including RBAC, OAuth, Secrets, Certificates, and compliance controls.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

It’s a Bonus If You Have
Red Hat certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration.
Kubernetes certifications such as CKA or CKAD.
Experience with OpenShift on AWS or other cloud platforms.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
Experience with GitOps and tools such as Argo CD.
Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or other observability platforms.
Experience supporting highly available, business-critical enterprise applications.
