Job summary

Hamilton Barnes seeks a Senior Network Engineer to support complex enterprise networks with a strong emphasis on Palo Alto and Aruba technologies. The role combines engineering, technical consultancy, and project delivery across Professional Services and Managed Services in a fully remote setup within the Philippines.

You will lead advanced troubleshooting, security architecture discussions, and pre-sales activities while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring successful deployments and ongoing

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Network Security Engineering in MSP or enterprise services.
• Deep hands-on Palo Alto Networks knowledge (PA-Series, PAN-OS, Panorama, Prisma Access, GlobalProtect).
• Experience with Aruba switching, wireless, and SD-WAN environments.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust and SASE security approaches.
• Proven ability to handle complex escalations and RCA.
• Excellent communication for senior stakeholders and customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, migrate enterprise network security solutions (Palo Alto).
• Act as L4 escalation point for firewall and security incidents.
• Manage Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, Prisma Access, GlobalProtect.
• Support Aruba SD-WAN, switching, and wireless infrastructure.
• Lead troubleshooting, RCA, and incident resolution.
• Advise on security architecture, Zero Trust, and SASE strategies.
• Deliver security projects and migrations, upgrades, and transformations.
• Collaborate with PS/Managed Services for delivery and handovers.
• Participate in technical reviews, scoping, and pre-sales discussions.

We are partnering with a leading global IT services provider specialising in enterprise networking, cybersecurity, and managed infrastructure services.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support complex enterprise customer environments, delivering a combination of technical project work, advanced troubleshooting, and security consultancy.

This is a highly technical, customer-facing position offering exposure to large-scale enterprise networks, with a particular focus on Palo Alto Networks and Aruba technologies.

The successful candidate will work across Professional Services, Managed Services, and solution design, acting as a senior technical escalation point while supporting customers with the deployment, optimisation, and ongoing management of their network security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and migrate enterprise network security solutions, primarily across Palo Alto Networks technologies.
• Act as a senior technical escalation point (L4) for complex firewall, network security, and connectivity incidents.
• Implement and manage Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, Prisma Access, GlobalProtect, and associated security services.
• Support enterprise networking environments incorporating Aruba switching, wireless, and SD-WAN technologies.
• Lead technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and resolution of critical network security incidents.
• Provide technical consultancy to enterprise customers on security architecture, firewall optimisation, Zero Trust, and SASE/SSE solutions.
• Deliver network security projects, including firewall migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and security transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Professional Services and Managed Services teams to ensure successful project delivery and operational handovers.
• Participate in customer technical reviews, solution scoping, and pre-sales discussions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, supporting knowledge sharing and engineering best practices.

Key Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Network Security Engineering, ideally within an MSP, Systems Integrator, or enterprise services environment.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Palo Alto Networks, including PA-Series firewalls, PAN-OS, Panorama, Prisma Access, GlobalProtect, and WildFire.
• Experience designing, deploying, migrating, and troubleshooting enterprise firewall environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise routing, switching, TCP/IP, VPNs, and network security protocols.
• Experience working with Aruba networking technologies, including Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN, switching, and wireless infrastructure.
• Knowledge of SASE/SSE architectures, Zero Trust principles, firewall policy management, and security best practices.
• Proven experience handling complex technical escalations, incident management, and root cause analysis.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to engage technical stakeholders and senior customer representatives.
• Experience contributing to technical solution design, project delivery, and pre-sales activities.
• Palo Alto PCNSE certification or equivalent practical expertise is highly desirable.
