Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a Network Engineer to implement, troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on network equipment including Cisco ISR/ASR routers, Catalyst switches and FortiGate firewalls across nationwide markets. Job description

Our client is America's leading radio broadcaster, Internet content provider, and magazine and book publisher targeting audiences interested in family-themed content and conservative values.

As a member of the Network Shared Services (NSS) Team, the Network Engineer will be tasked with implementation, troubleshooting and root cause analysis of our client's network equipment such as Cisco ISR/ASR routers, Cisco Catalyst Switches and FortiGate Firewalls. In addition, this individual will be charged with participating in orderly deployments of the aforementioned network systems throughout the companies nationwide markets – while working together with NSS team members, market management and other technical staff to insure the highest levels of system availability.

The successful individual will have strong interpersonal and troubleshooting skills to effectively work with onsite staff and other IT team members to resolve day-to-day network issues or requests.

This position reports directly to the Network Shared Services Manager.

Potential candidates must possess a range of the following skills:

• Demonstrated proficiency in maintaining local and remote network.
• Advanced problem solving capabilities
• Cooperative attitude and flexible approach complex situations.
• Proficient knowledge or experience in the following disciplines:
• OSPF, EIGRP and BGP
• WAN connectivity such as MPLS, T1/T3 and Metro Ethernet
• DMVPN, GRE point-to-point IPSEC tunnel configuration
• VLAN, SNMP, NTP, Spanning-Tree, LACP Link Aggregation
• Cisco VoIP
• Cisco IOS, IOS-XR and some NX-OS
• Knowledge or experience with FortiGate Firewalls or equivalent NGFW hardware desired
• Knowledge or experience with Cisco Meraki Wifi access points or general knowledge of Wifi systems
• Cradlepoint experience is a plus
