Job summary

Sutherland is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN networks. You will develop standards, document architectures, and lead upgrades across cloud and on-premises environments.

The role emphasizes security controls, incident response, and cross-functional collaboration with cybersecurity teams to ensure robust, compliant networking infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, wireless networking, and network security technologies.
• Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience supporting large-scale and mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and cloud networking solutions.
• Develop and maintain network architecture standards, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Evaluate and recommend network technologies, hardware, and software solutions.
• Lead network upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for complex network incidents and outages.
• Ensure network availability, performance, and reliability through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
• Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, NAC, segmentation, and secure remote access.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
