NetSuite Developer / Administrator - Job Summary

This role is responsible for owning the NetSuite development function, including maintaining existing customizations and managing the development backlog. The position works closely with the NetSuite Administrator and cross‑functional stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, and Operations to deliver system enhancements and ensure optimal ERP performance. This is an independent role with no dedicated development lead, requiring strong ownership, accountability, and problem‑solving skills.

Work Setup & Collaboration

Requires daily overlap with US Pacific Time (23 hours) for stakeholder collaboration.

• Flexible schedule: Morning Philippines time with US afternoon, or Evening Philippines time with US morning.

Technology & Tools

• AI‑assisted Development is a core part of the workflow. Tools such as GitHub Copilot are provided from Day 1 and are expected to be used for:
• Daily development tasks
• Debugging existing customizations
• Navigating and accelerating work in complex or unfamiliar codebases

AI Proficiency

AI proficiency is considered a standard requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities

SuiteScript Development

• Maintain, enhance, and support existing SuiteScript 2.x customizations
• Develop new scripts, including:
  • User Event
  • Client Scripts
  • Scheduled Scripts
  • RESTlets
  • Map/Reduce
  • Suitelets
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a live ERP environment

System Support & Optimization

• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Operations teams to implement system improvements
• Translate business and accounting requirements into NetSuite configurations, saved searches, and reports
• Support ERP enhancements, upgrades, and system transitions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of NetSuite modules: Financials, CRM, Inventory, Order Management
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and workflows, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Financial Reporting
• Familiarity with GAAP and IFRS
• Experience supporting finance processes such as month‑end close, audits, and compliance reporting

Experience & Certifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a NetSuite Administrator or similar role
• Hands‑on experience with SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteAnalytics
• NetSuite Administrator certification preferred
• CPA or equivalent certification is an advantage
• Experience in multi‑entity or multi‑currency environments is highly preferred
