Job summary

CWT in Manila, Philippines is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade features for Amex GBT’s mid-office platform. You will maintain clean code, participate in reviews, and contribute to architectural discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of professional software development experience.
• Domain knowledge in travel industry (GDS, booking platforms, travel management) is a plus.
• Experience delivering enterprise applications and artefacts independently.
• Maintenance and enhancement of Compleat, Amex GBT's mid-office PNR processing engine.
• Expertise on the Microsoft technology stack (.NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, SQL Server).
• Strong knowledge of client-side scripting (React, JavaScript, jQuery) and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub).
• Solid OO design and development with knowledge of design patterns.
• Understanding of project architecture and software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software features and services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that meets specification and adheres to development standards.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Perform problem/task isolation, analysis, research, and resolution with minimal assistance.
• Debug and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Contribute to architectural and technical design discussions.
