Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search is seeking a Middle Distillates Trader to own physical trading activities across NWE/ARA and Mediterranean regions. You will drive commercial performance, expand market reach, and manage a profitable trading book in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years’ trading experience in Europe with strong market relationships and a track record of P&L ownership.

Qualifications

• Min 3 years’ experience trading middle distillates in Europe.
• Proven P&L ownership and profitable book expansion.
• Strong commercial network with suppliers, refiners, traders.
• Understanding of European supply chains, flows, freight, and storage.
• Ability to work independently within a wider commercial team.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a physical trading book focused on NWE/ARA or Mediterranean markets.
• Trade middle distillates (gasoil, jet, diesel) and structure deals across European hubs.
• Build relationships with suppliers, end-users, shipowners, brokers and storage operators.
• Manage P&L, exposure, and risk within commercial limits; hedge using paper markets.
• Collaborate with operations, finance and risk to ensure deal execution.
