Job summary

SM Engineering Design and Development Corp. invites a licensed Mechanical Engineer to join our mall facilities team.

The role focuses on reliability of elevator and mechanical systems, planning preventive maintenance via CMMS, and ensuring compliance with safety codes across MOA, Pasay and other Metro Manila branches. You will review contractor reports, prepare technical documents, assess permits, lead MEPF meetings, and monitor energy usage to optimize operation of AHU, chillers, pumps and

Qualifications

• BS Mechanical Engineering degree and PE licensure are required.
• Ability to maintain and operate mall equipment and utilities.
• Proficient in planning preventive maintenance via CMMS.
• Capability to analyze quotations and validate estimates.
• Knowledge of national/local building codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensures reliability of equipment in assigned department/area.
• Schedules preventive maintenance through CMMS for all equipment.
• Monitors water and electrical consumption of the area.
• Ensures compliance with housekeeping rules of MEPFS Facilities.
• Manages documentation of incidents, reports, and escalation.
• Evaluates contractor reports through inspection.
• Prepares documents for projects and approvals (letters, reports, synopses).
• Assists in work permit approvals for tenants and contractors.
• Leads MEPF committees, meetings, and issues discussions.
• Prepares MSRS, FAPR and billings with supporting docs.
• Participates in toolbox talks, mall discussions, tenant concerns, events.
• Performs other duties as deemed necessary.
• Monitors electro-mechanical operations (AHU, chillers, pumps, etc.).
