Scorpio is seeking a Second Engineer / 1AE for a contract/temporary position in Manila. You will supervise the engine room crew, safeguard safe engine room operation, and oversee maintenance across engine room systems.

The role reports to MBP and supports a merit-based recruitment approach with no job offer fees. The ideal candidate has deep marine engineering expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to adapt to modern technology and onboard software.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an engine room team with emphasis on safety and reliability.
• Strong knowledge of marine engineering systems, electrical and automation.
• Familiarity with SOLAS, MARPOL and flag state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the engine room team, ensure the safe operation of the engine room, and oversee maintenance tasks on all engine room equipment.
