Job summary

Bicara Therapeutics in Boston is seeking a proactive Senior Manager, Accounting and SEC Reporting to lead the preparation of Form 10-K and 10-Q, manage G&A accruals, and oversee stock compensation accounting under ASC 718. This hands-on role reports to the Senior Director, Accounting and requires collaboration with legal, IR, and finance teams to ensure timely, compliant reporting and SOX controls.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Accounting with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and ability to draft memos supporting conclusions.
• Experience leading SEC reporting processes and GAAP checklists.
• Proven interpersonal, cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of Form 10-Q and Form 10-K, and GAAP disclosures.
• Manage external SEC reporting process, including MD&A and footnotes.
• Oversee stock-based compensation accounting under ASC 718.
• Prepare G&A accruals and monthly journal entries; reconcile accounts.
• Collaborate with legal, IR, and finance to ensure timely reporting.
• Develop accounting policies and streamline controls and reporting.
