You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, draft and negotiate software/IT agreements, manage litigation matters, mentor the legal team, and safeguard the company’s assets and reputation in a dynamic telecom and CPaaS environment.

Qualifications

• 10-14 years of experience as an in-house counsel in software/tech or BFSI.
• Proficient in drafting and negotiating software/IT contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters, brief senior management and external counsels.
• Draft, negotiate, review, and revise a wide range of contract documents.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced legal professional to manage contract negotiations, streamline legal processes, and oversee contract and litigation management. This role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient legal operations.

What You'd Do?

• Litigation Management: Manage litigation matters, ability to brief Senior Management and external counsels (NCLT, Recovery suits before Civil Courts, Criminal matters/Cheque bounce matters/HC/SC filings) by maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating with external counsel, and supporting the resolution of disputes as needed
• Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Independently draft, negotiate, review, and revise a wide range of contract documents with high efficiency and fast turnaround times.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams (Sales, Finance, Customer Support, and Cybersecurity) to ensure contract terms align with business needs.
• Legal Risk Management: Identify and mitigate business and legal risks, ensuring all necessary internal approvals are obtained prior to contract finalization.
• Legal Support: Provide legal responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), address legal queries from internal stakeholders.
• Team Mentoring: Lead and mentor the legal team, ensuring effective task delegation and deliverable management.

What You'd Have?

• Education: Law Graduate (LLB) from an accredited law school.
• Experience: 10-14 years of experience as an in-house counsel (preferably in a software/technology company/BFSI industry).
• Expertise: Proficient in drafting and negotiating software/IT contracts, litigation management, and team handling.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
