We are seeking a very smart, experienced, business-minded, and passionate Management Accountant with at least 5 years commercial experience, preferably with past interaction with foreign companies/clients/counterparts. You will report to the Head of Management Accounting Services in our Manila Office. You should be willing to observe Sydney working hours. With the use of technology, you will be an integral part of our Sydney Team and our Clients’ businesses.

The Person

This position will suit a dedicated Management Accountant on the way up in their career. You will be given great opportunities to further your experience working with clients in diverse industries and nationalities providing financial analysis and reporting to inform management decision-making. You will be supported by our Head of Management Accounting Services and our Team of specialists in Sydney across all functions of these Clients’ businesses.

The successful applicant will be passionate about turning around business performance. You will be very smart, proactive, quick to learn, and well-versed with spreadsheets and cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Myob and similar platforms. You can work independently but are also able to collaborate well with others in a team environment. You will have exceptional organisational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, be disciplined, be able to meet deadlines and service quality targets, be task focused, and a “Doer”. You are someone who takes ownership and drives initiatives. Your ability to understand and communicate in oral and written English will be very good.

It is an advantage if you have experience and/or familiarity with Australian accounting practice and taxation.

Your Role

Your responsibilities, supported by the Head of Management Accounting Services and our Sydney Team, will include:

- Conducting Client meetings

- Undertaking job costing and pricing analysis

- Preparing and analysing weekly KPI reports

- Weekly Client cash flow reporting and management

- Accounting system/management reporting improvement projects, including re-design of the Chart of Accounts, as required by the client

- End of Month financial analysis of clients’ P&Ls, Balance Sheets, & Cash Flows

- Implementing Quoting Templates

- Implementing Inventory Analysis

- Preparation of Budgets

- Preparation of Business Plans

- Oversight of Client Bookkeeping

- Client Creditor Management

- Preparation of Advisory Board Meeting materials

- Lead/monitor Client-related projects

- Financial and 3rd Party reporting compliance

- Liaising with external stakeholders including auditors, tax agents, and lenders
