Job summary

SMEC in Mandaluyong, Philippines, is seeking a qualified Cost Estimator/Quantity Surveyor with 5–10 years' experience to support cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and tender submissions for major infrastructure projects. • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant quantity surveying or cost control experience.
• Basic knowledge of quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, and construction costing.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Excel and estimation software (CostX, Planswift, AutoCAD or similar).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented.
• Knowledge of standard forms of contract is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and BOQ, tender documents, and cost databases.
• Assist in tender document preparation, evaluate quotations, and manage commercial records.
• Track project expenditures, prepare progress claims, and report variances.
• Coordinate with engineers, procurement, site staff, and contractors on cost-related matters.
