Job summary

Copeland Electric is seeking a Senior Lead Analyst, Forecasting to provide analytical support for Forecasting & Demand Planning across regions. You will manage orders, backlogs, and forecast data for Exports Air Conditioning, Export Refrigeration, Export Transport, Export Motors, and Cold Chain to inform strategic planning.

The role requires strong data skills, experience with ERP/forecasting tools, and the ability to lead regional forecast reviews with sales and marketing teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate in a 4-year business course; engineering grads also considered.
• B.S. Information Technology or Computer Science is a plus.
• Two years in supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Consolidates and standardizes data from different sources.
• Uses automated tools (Excel macros, other databases) to extract data.
• Formats data for reports and supports forecasting analyses.
• Creates charts and summaries to aid decision making for Marketing and Sales.
• Participates in regional forecast reviews and presents gaps and trends.
• Supports production planning with demand insights and trend analysis.
• Implements continuous improvement ideas and documents new processes.

As a Senior Lead Analyst, Forecasting, your objective is to provide analytical and data support to Forecasting & Demand Planning Management, Regional Sales Team, and Vertical Team in a monthly cycle by providing current orders, backlogs, forecast and sales of Exports Air Conditioning, Export Refrigeration, Export Transport, Export Motors, and Cold Chain to be used for strategic planning and marketing purposes.

Main Duties

• Consolidates and standardize data from different data sources


• Combines extracted data from multiple resources using automated tools (excel, macro, OTHER database TOOLS)


• Apply basic calculation to summarize the gathered data into information for further analysis


• Cleans extracted data using pre-defined guidelines or instructions.


• Formats extracted data based on expected report output. (multiple data formatting requirements)


• Creates histograms, charts, summaries as necessary to aid in easy interpretation and better provide decision support to the Marketing and Sales Community


• Calculates data using available fields within the gathered information. (statistics)


• Analyze and interpret data using descriptive analytics (basic mathematics, comparative analysis)


• Creates charts, trends as necessary to aid in easy interpretation and better understanding of analyzed data


• Attend and participate in the regional forecast review with sales managers to discuss results of analysis (trends per customer and per product family, identify top drivers etc)


• Present sales forecast and gaps to the stakeholders (Marketing, Operation and Sales) gets their buy-in and commitment to any deliverable


• Conducts Pre SOP demand review meetings with sales team to discuss sales trend for production planning


• Request for new customer, supplier account creation and item creation in Copeland system


• Check availability of items in the system for shipment and approval


• Identifies continuous improvement project ideas


• Participate in continuous improvement project session to discuss opportunities to improve processes or standards


• Prepare documentation for new processes and reports

Educational Background

• Graduate of any 4 year business course


• Graduate of any engineering discipline course will also be considered


• Graduate of BS Information Technology or Computer Science is a plus

Work Experience Or Training

• At least two (2) years experience gained from supply chain, engineering or manufacturing related business, plant operations


• At least two (2) years experience in product analysis &/or planning systems in an industrial setting


• Background in offshore service operations is an advantage


• Business systems applications skills such Sigma, Oracle and Demantra


• Computer applications skills such as MS Office- Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access, SQL
