Job summary

Copeland Supply seeks a data analyst to consolidate data from diverse sources and standardize it for insightful reporting. You will employ automated tools to merge data, apply calculations, and clean datasets to support marketing and sales decision making.

You will also build charts and trends, present forecasts to stakeholders, and contribute to production planning through demand reviews. Strong Excel/SQL skills and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 4-year business course; engineering or IT degrees are considered.
• 2+ years in supply chain, engineering or manufacturing analytics.
• Experience with product analysis or planning systems is an advantage.

Main Duties

• Consolidates and standardize data from different data sources


• Combines extracted data from multiple resources using automated tools (excel, macro, OTHER database TOOLS)


• Apply basic calculation to summarize the gathered data into information for further analysis


• Cleans extracted data using pre-defined guidelines or instructions.


• Formats extracted data based on expected report output. (multiple data formatting requirements)


• Creates histograms, charts, summaries as necessary to aid in easy interpretation and better provide decision support to the Marketing and Sales Community


• Calculates data using available fields within the gathered information. (statistics)


• Analyze and interpret data using descriptive analytics (basic mathematics, comparative analysis)


• Creates charts, trends as necessary to aid in easy interpretation and better understanding of analyzed data


• Attend and participate in the regional forecast review with sales managers to discuss results of analysis (trends per customer and per product family, identify top drivers etc)


• Present sales forecast and gaps to the stakeholders (Marketing, Operation and Sales) gets their buy-in and commitment to any deliverable


• Conducts Pre SOP demand review meetings with sales team to discuss sales trend for production planning


• Request for new customer, supplier account creation and item creation in Copeland system


• Check availability of items in the system for shipment and approval


• Identifies continuous improvement project ideas


• Participate in continuous improvement project session to discuss opportunities to improve processes or standards


• Prepare documentation for new processes and reports

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

• Graduate of any 4 year business course


• Graduate of any engineering discipline course will also be considered


• Graduate of BS Information Technology or Computer Science is a plus

Work Experience Or Training

• At least two (2) years experience gained from supply chain, engineering or manufacturing related business, plant operations


• At least two (2) years experience in product analysis &/or planning systems in an industrial setting


• Background in offshore service operations is an advantage


• Business systems applications skills such Sigma, Oracle and Demantra


• Computer applications skills such as MS Office- Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access, SQL
