Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a QA Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated and manual tests to ensure product quality. You will work with QA and development teams to understand end-to-end functionality, define automated test suites, and triage results.

Strong Java and OOP skills, REST API testing, and QA automation experience are required. ISTQB certification and experience with Jira/Confluence are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in CS, EE, or EC Engineering.
• ISTQB Certification is a plus.
• Experience programming in Java and strong OOP knowledge.
• Experience with QA Automation and testing concepts (functional/non-functional).
• Familiarity with REST API testing and test tooling.

Responsibilities

Job description

The QA Engineer's primary responsibilities will be to define, implement, maintain, and execute automated and manual tests to ensure product quality.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and automating sophisticated software architectures and will have been directly responsible for writing comprehensive software test scripts, executing, and analyzing test reports.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

What you'll do:

Work with QA and functional/development teams to understand end-to-end system functionality

Define, implement, and maintain automated test suites for the new and modified functionality

Solve complex automation challenges and work on complex projects with minimal supervision

Set and review script quality standards and practices

Perform automated test demos and walk through the test scripts with other team members

Perform automated tests, work with QA and functional/development teams to triage test results

Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and elevate potential quality issues immediately to management

Assist with executing non-functional testing in terms of performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other systems

Skills Must have:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in CS, EE, or EC Engineering

A clear understanding of the Scrum methodology

Experience working with Configuration Management Systems (CMS) like Jira, and Confluence

Experience programming in Java (3+ years)

Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts

Software Version Control experience (Git)

Familiarity with software design principles, including SOLID principles

QA Automation

Strong knowledge of testing concepts (functional/non-functional testing, unit testing, system testing, regression testing, defect lifecycle)

Experience performing REST API Testing (manual or automated)

Experience performing functional testing and documenting defect lifecycle

Nice to have

Experience testing UI/HMI

Have an ISTQB Certification

Experience working with Linux and Windows environments

Experience working with test tools like JUnit, Carina Framework, Selenium

Test frameworks like Robot, Appium, and Espresso
