Job summary

SM Retail is seeking an experienced Java Developer (Lead) to design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications while providing technical leadership. The ideal candidate has at least eight years of Java development and application support experience and can guide a team through code reviews and architectural decisions.

You will work onsite in the Philippines, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 8+ years of Java development and application support experience.
• Proven leadership or team-management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Core, Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL, and Git.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum; CI/CD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support Java-based enterprise applications.
• Lead and mentor the development team through technical guidance and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
