Visa Hunt is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to bolster a high-performing backend project in the Banking Industry. You will build scalable microservices using Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Kafka, with focus on reliability and high availability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a similar backend role.

• Experience with microservices, JPA and testing (TDD/BDD).

• Familiarity with Scrum/Agile methodologies.
• English proficiency at least B2.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Developer to join our team and contribute to a high-performing backend project within the Banking Industry.

On-Call Availability (On-Call Shift System)

• Mandatory 24/7 On-Call Rotation: You will be required to participate in a rotating on-call shift schedule from Monday to Sunday.

• What this means: This does not mean you will be actively working 24/7 or during late-night shifts. Instead, you will be on standby outside of standard working hours, meaning you must be reachable and available to log in and resolve critical system incidents only if they arise.

• Frequency: The approximate rotation frequency is one full week (7 consecutive days) every 3 to 4 months, depending on the team's internal calendar.

Mandatory Technical Knowledge

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role.

• Advanced J2EE, Springboot and Apache Kafka expertise is mandatory

• Microservices architecture, Spring Boot, Functional Programming, Java (Version 8 and above), JPA, and Testing methodologies (TDD or BDD).

• Software Design and Architecture patterns.

• Experience with Databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc.).

• Familiarity or working experience with Agile Methodologies (Scrum).

• English language proficiency: Minimum B2 level.

Nice to Have / Desirable

• Basic notions of API design and specification (OpenAPI 3 / OAS3).

• Any additional technical knowledge or skills that can contribute value to the project will be highly appreciated.

• Basic knowledge of Reactive Programming is highly valued.
