Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Automation Tester in Java to strengthen our automation practices across the development lifecycle. You will collaborate with development, DevOps and product teams to push automation initiatives forward, enabling reliable, scalable quality across projects.

The role requires hands-on API testing, UI automation and experience integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines, with strong Java skills and an agile mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a comparable field.
• At least 3 years of professional QA experience with test automation or a blend of development and testing.
• Hands-on REST and SOAP API testing experience, SOAPUI and Groovy scripting preferred.
• Experience with Cucumber for BDD.
• Strong Java for automation frameworks and scripts.
• Practical UI automation with Selenium or similar tools.
• Experience in Agile environments.
• Good analytical, organizational and troubleshooting skills.
• Proven ability across functional, integration and regression testing.
• Experience writing unit tests for robustness and edge cases.
• Knowledge of CI/CD integration for test automation.
• English at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Draft functional, integration, and acceptance test cases to confirm system behavior.
• Develop automated tests for regression, functional, and smoke testing.
• Plan and execute automation activities ensuring testing standards.
• Embed test cycles into the DevOps pipeline for continuous quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues creatively and efficiently.
• Automate testing for REST APIs and front-end components.
• Record and report defects clearly for effective issue tracking.
• Manage test data and environments for reliable execution.
• Maintain test scripts and ensure integrity across releases.
