Job summary

Alorica Inc. is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager in Manila to lead planning and execution of medium to high complexity technology projects. You will work with business analysts, solution architects, developers, and QA teams to ensure timely delivery while managing dependencies and risks.

You will coordinate across stakeholders and lead governance, vendor relationships, and communications to executives. A strong background in both agile and waterfall methodologies and excellent communication

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience managing technology projects across business application platforms.
• Ability to coordinate and manage project teams across business analysts, solution architects, development and QA teams.
• Experience overseeing multiple large, complex, diverse, multi-discipline projects that impact the organization.
• Ability to employ waterfall or agile methodology as necessitated by specific projects.
• Strong time-management skills in fast-paced environments with competing priorities.
• Solid technical understanding of technical solutions, dependencies and challenges across multi-disciplinary platforms.

Responsibilities

• Plan and set milestones for technology initiatives with commitments from teams.
• Manage impediments in delivery, reporting to stakeholders and leaders, and escalations as needed.
• Coordinate with PMO to ensure governance guidelines are followed.
• Take overall responsibility for delivery including vendor relationships when using external contractors/consultants.
• Resolve conflicts or dependencies that put projects at risk, including technical tradeoffs with other PMs.
• Provide periodic updates to stakeholders, leaders and executives, tailoring messages to audiences.

Job description

Role:

Accountable for the planning and execution of medium to high complexity business application projects within the Technology Business Enablement organization. The Senior IT Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders to understand business problems and set expectations for delivery of specific technology initiatives. He/She will coordinate delivery across cross-functional teams, ensuring that all relevant parties are involved, consulted, or informed. The Senior IT Project Manager will work closely with the internal teams of business analysts, solution architects, development teams and QA teams for delivery of these initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Program Directors and Business Architects to ensure appropriate delivery expectations are set with the stake holders

• Plan and set milestones for technology initiatives by getting and enforcing commitments from business analysts, solution architects, development and QA staff

• Manage impediments in delivery, its reporting to stakeholders and TBE leaders and escalations as needed

• Work with PMO to ensure projects are following appropriate governance guidelines

• Take overall responsibility for delivery including vendor relationship when using external contractors/consultants

• Help resolve conflicts or dependencies that put projects at risk, including technical tradeoffs and work with other PMs to sequence delivery of initiatives

• Provide periodic updates to stakeholders, leaders and business executives, tailoring the message to their specific audiences

Skill Sets / Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fields

• 8+ years of experience managing technology projects across business application platforms with a history of growth in responsibility and ownership

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage project teams across practice teams of business analysts, solution architects, development and QA teams

• Expert ability to oversee and manage multiple large, complex, diverse and strategic multi discipline projects that impact the organization as a whole.

• Ability to employ waterfall or agile methodology as necessitated by specific projects

• Strong time-management skills; the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

• Solid technical aptitude and understanding of technical solutions, dependencies and challenges across multi-disciplinary platforms

• Strong/excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to compose and present business and technical material to technical and non-technical audiences, in particular senior leaders within the organization
