Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC design for building services and related systems. You will manage drawings, ensure QA, and ensure compliance with codes and project specs while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

You will work with senior staff to train juniors, apply safety-in-design, and prepare technical reports for small to medium projects, leveraging AutoCAD, Revit, and CAMEL software where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) is a plus.
• At least 7 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with HVAC load estimating software (Camel or similar).

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical services for buildings and related systems.
• Manage and maintain drawings in line with QA procedures.
• Apply applicable codes, standards and project specifications.
• Coordinate with WSP personnel, partners, and clients.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines and teams.
• Deliver outputs per the design work program; attend meetings.
• Support training and development of junior staff.
• Develop safety-in-design considerations across projects.
• Prepare technical reports for small to medium projects.
