Job summary

Staffstream in Australia seeks a senior Group Accountant & Financial Controller based in the Philippines, fully remote. You own end-to-end financial operations across seven entities, including Xero integrity, payroll, BAS/IAS, month-end reporting, and cash-flow forecasting.

You work closely with owners and external advisers. This role is hands-on and not pure bookkeeping or CFO strategy; you’ll manage ledgers, reconciliations, payments, intercompany balances, and reporting while ensuring data

Qualifications

• A degree in accounting or closely related discipline.
• At least 5 years of hands-on Australian bookkeeping and accounting experience across entities.
• Advanced Xero skills including bank/card reconciliation and payroll workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day integrity of Xero files across the group with auditable reporting.
• Prepare payroll for multiple entities and manage STP reporting.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and maintain schedules for accruals and assets.
• Produce month-end close, P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow reports.
• Collaborate with external advisers on BAS/IAS and tax matters.
