Job summary

Cleveland Printing Co. Inc. is seeking a skilled Pre-press Production Artist to join our fast-paced team.

You will work with Adobe Creative Suite and CorelDraw to prep packaging designs for production, ensuring files are print-ready and color-accurate. You will preflight files, perform image edits, mock-up boxes, and output color-separated files optimized for CTP and various press setups, while collaborating closely with teammates to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and CorelDraw.
• Solid knowledge of prepress processes and workflow.
• Strong understanding of color theory, printing and graphics (CMYK vs. RGB).
• Experience with Versafire Digital Machine and Cutter Plotter machines.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication to collaborate with teammates.
• High attention to detail
• Teamwork oriented
• Teachable attitude

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

• Preflight all supplied files using appropriate software (CorelDraw, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
• Perform image manipulations/edits as directed
• Mock-up Boxes when needed
• Prepare and output precise color-separated files optimized for Computer-to-Plate (CTP) systems or specific press setups
• Operate Digital Printer for various products
• Execute other incidental production duties and design adjustments as assigned by management

About you

• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and CorelDraw
• Strong knowledge of prepress processes and workflow
• Solid understanding of prepress processes, printing workflows, bleed lines, trapping, imposition, and color theory (CMYK vs. RGB)
• Understanding of color theory, printing and graphics
• Knowledgeable in Versafire Digital Machine & Cutter Plotter machine
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and complete work accurately within a fast-paced, time-sensitive production environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with teammates and clarify design requirements
