Job summary

TriAxis People Solutions in Mandaluyong is seeking an experienced procurement leader to manage import and local purchasing for the manufacturing and logistics needs. You will identify suppliers, negotiate terms, and coordinate logistics while mentoring junior team members and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with finance and operations to optimise costs, analyse supply trends, and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' experience in purchasing, procurement or a related role, preferably within manufacturing or logistics.
• Proven track record of successfully managing import and local purchasing operations.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
• Proficient in data analysis, inventory management and cost optimisation.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to align purchasing strategies with business objectives.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with relevant procurement regulations and policies.
• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Can work from Mondays through Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire import process and local purchases, including identifying suppliers, negotiating terms, and coordinating logistics.
• Manage local procurement of office supplies, equipment and other materials to support daily operations.
• Analyse market trends, supplier performance and pricing to optimise purchasing decisions.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and continuously identify new potential partners.
• Implement robust inventory control systems to ensure adequate stock levels and minimise wastage.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, logistics and other departments to align purchasing activities.
• Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant regulations.
• Mentor and provide guidance to more junior members of the procurement team.
