Job summary

Paymentology is hiring a DevOps/SRE professional to design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure. You will automate deployments with IaC, manage Kubernetes and Kafka ecosystems, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires strong scripting (Bash/Python), AWS experience, and a solid understanding of distributed systems. You will work with global teams to ensure reliable operations and incident response, contributing to the company’s mission in payments technology.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands‑on DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles.
• Strong scripting and automation using Bash and Python.
• Practical experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, VPC, EKS, MSK).
• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters and workloads.
• Experience deploying/studying MSK or Apache Kafka clusters including brokers and topics.
• Ability to use AI‑assisted tools for routine engineering tasks and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain IaC to automate deployment and management of infrastructure components.
• Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure for high availability, scalability and performance.
• Manage versioned infrastructure configs across dev, staging, and production environments.
• Troubleshoot across the full tech stack including servers, apps, and networking.
• Develop scripts and automation tools to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency.
• Implement and manage containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor, alert, and respond to incidents to minimize downtime and impact.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and ops teams to improve reliability and workflows.
