Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland seeks an ACA/ACCA-qualified audit professional to manage a portfolio of statutory audit clients including Irish/UK and international engagements. You will liaise with clients on planning and close meetings, review work papers and supervise junior staff.

You will guide audit procedures, handle complex areas such as Share Based Payment and Revenue Recognition, motivate staff, allocate tasks, and contribute to new business development through client focus groups.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualification with post-qualification experience in audit.
• Experience from a top-ten firm.
• Audit experience of large Irish companies or multinational entities.
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS and Irish GAAP.
• Some knowledge of US GAAP would be a benefit.
• Ability to motivate and manage staff under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for a portfolio of Global Statutory audit clients including Irish/UK and international audits.
• Liaising with clients regarding planning and close meetings and discussing business developments.
• Reviewing audit work papers.
• Provide guidance/expertise and participate in audit procedures, focusing on complex issues.
• Assist the team including staff allocation, planning, training needs, and resource identification.
• On-site management of complex sections like Share Based Compensation and Revenue Recognition where required.
• Supervise and train junior staff to maintain firm standards.
• Develop new business through industry participation and potential client focus groups.

Education

ACA/ACCA qualified

3 years post-qualification audit experience

IFRS knowledge

Irish GAAP knowledge

US GAAP awareness
