Job summary

IOM in Manila is seeking a National Accounting Officer to manage global financial reporting, consolidation, and period-end closing in alignment with IPSAS. You will lead a team, ensure timely and accurate financial data, and coordinate with Headquarters' Financial Accounting Division.

The role emphasizes strengthening internal controls, coordinating audits, and improving accounting processes with Oracle Fusion and IPSAS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting with 5 years experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 7 years experience; CPA advantageous.
• Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the team's preparation, review, and consolidation of global financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities using IPSAS and closing calendars.
• Coordinate openings/closings of accounting modules and resolve blockers to preserve process integrity.
• Oversee central accounting adjustments and period-end entries; manage year-end transition activities.
• Support internal and external audits and strengthen reconciliation processes and internal controls.
