Job summary

Citco Bank is seeking a detail-oriented GL Accountant to join the Finance team. You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and support month-end and year-end closes to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, Tax) and assist with audits, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and regulatory standards. A CPA/CFA is preferred and 2–4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance is required or equivalent.
• Professional certification (CPA/CFA or equivalent) preferred.
• 2–4 years of GL accounting experience in a global financial services environment is ideal.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Perform monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes within deadlines.
• Investigate and resolve GL discrepancies and variances.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with preparation of financial reports and management accounts.
• Support internal and external audit requests with documentation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory standards.
• Identify and recommend process improvements for GL efficiency.
• Collaborate with AP, AR and Tax to resolve discrepancies.
• Perform other related tasks during month-end, year-end close and audits.

As a core member of our Compliance team you will work closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to minimize operational risks and ensure our clients experience seamless delivery acrossbanking services.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (CPA, CFA, or equivalent) preferred
• 2-4 years of relevant GL accounting experience
• Experience in a global financial services organization advantageous

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reconciliation templates)
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools/dashboards
