Job summary

Abbott in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Philippines is seeking a Sr. General Ledger Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting for multiple entities and ensure timely, compliant financial reporting. You will support audits and drive process improvements across Corporate Financial Services.

The role requires strong IFRS/US GAAP knowledge, SAP S/4HANA experience, and advanced Excel skills, with 5+ years in RTR within a complex shared services environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. Accountancy degree; CPA preferred.
• At least 5 years of RTR experience in a complex, multi-country shared services environment.
• Experience in Treasury, Inventory and Product Costing is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP and ability to apply it to daily operations.
• Solid experience in balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis.
• SAP S/4HANA or SAP P01 experience is an advantage.
• Strong English communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis; VBA an advantage).
• Team-oriented, self-starter with ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Experience driving automation or finance process transformation initiatives is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end accounting activities for multiple entities to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
• Handle journals, accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, and fixed asset activities.
• Prepare financial reporting packages, intercompany margins, and variance analyses.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, investigations, and resolution of open items.
• Support audits and respond to inquiries with documentation.
• Lead costings and transfer pricing reviews; ensure ERP updates are accurate.
• Drive process improvements and automation within RTR processes.
• Act as SME for accounting processes impacting supported entities.
