Job summary

A finance services company located in the Philippines is looking for an experienced accountant. The ideal candidate will handle journal entries, maintain general ledger accuracy, and prepare financial statements. You should have a BS in Accounting/Finance, preferably a CPA, and over 5 years of accounting experience. Knowledge of PFRS/PFRS for SMEs and BIR compliance is essential. This role involves ensuring timely reporting and supporting audit processes.

Qualifications

• Education: BS in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years in accounting, preferably in the Philippines or shared services.
• Skills: Solid knowledge of PFRS/PFRS for SMEs, VAT; ERP/accounting software proficiency; advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries with documentation.
• Maintain and review ledger accuracy; reconcile sub-ledgers.
• Reconcile bank statements and investigate variances.
• Lead monthly/year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial statements for reporting.
• Ensure compliance with BIR regulations.
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Support audit processes and respond to inquiries.
• Track fixed assets and maintain asset register.
• Enforce internal controls and identify improvements.
