Job summary

Dexcom Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines with a strong emphasis on automation, security, and performance.

You will collaborate with software engineers, architects, and IT operations to ensure reliable deployment of cloud-native applications. The role requires 5+ years in DevOps or SRE, deep GCP experience, proficiency in Python/Bash, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and strong monitoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
• Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, etc.).
• Strong scripting and programming skills using Python, Bash, Terraform, and Git to develop automation tools.
• Ability to read and analyze application code to identify security or performance issues and remediation needs.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk).
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud-architecture best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage scalable, secure, and highly available GCP infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Set up Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and Error Reporting for observability.
• Automate operational tasks using Python.
• Ensure security best practices with IAM, VPC Service Controls, and Cloud Armor.
• Review and contribute to codebases across apps, infra, and CI/CD.
• Lead incident response and perform root cause analysis for production issues.
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers and share best practices.
