You should have 5+ years of professional software development, strong English communication, and be available for some overlap with US Eastern Time. Remote collaboration with a US team is valued.

Qualifications

About the Role

We are looking for a strong, independent software engineer who understands that modern software development is about much more than writing code.

With AI increasingly handling portions of implementation, we value developers who can understand business requirements, design practical technical solutions, leverage AI effectively, and take ownership of delivering reliable software.

You will work on established, production business applications involving complex workflows, integrations, databases, and multiple interconnected systems.

We are looking for someone who can think beyond an assigned ticket, understand the bigger picture, and make sound technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into clear, practical technical solutions.
• Understand existing application architecture and how changes affect other components.
• Design and implement features across backend, frontend, and database systems.
• Use AI development tools effectively to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and problem-solving.
• Critically evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Identify missing requirements, potential risks, and better implementation approaches.
• Independently investigate issues and determine root causes.
• Take ownership of work from initial requirements through development, testing, and production release.
• Communicate progress, blockers, and technical decisions clearly.

Technical Requirements

• Strong experience with C#, .NET / ASP.NET Core, and REST APIs.
• Solid SQL and relational database knowledge, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience with React and modern frontend development.
• Understanding of application architecture, integrations, authentication, and data flows.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Familiarity with Azure or similar cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants and agentic development tools.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and testing skills.

• Experience working on complex, existing business applications is especially valuable.
