Job summary

MVP Asia Pacific Inc. is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer to design, develop and maintain scalable web applications.

You will own features from design through deployment, work closely with the Tech Lead on architecture and planning, and mentor junior developers to ensure code quality and security. You will build robust REST APIs and integrate frontend with backend services and databases, while following secure coding practices in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent commercial software development experience.
• 5 to 7+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Advanced experience with React.js and modern frontend architecture.
• Advanced experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Strong experience with Node.js backend development.
• Strong experience with NestJS or similar Node.js framework.
• Experience designing, building and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience using Git and GitHub with PRs and code reviews.
• Experience with ORM tools such as TypeORM.
• Ownership of complex features from design to production support.
• Experience reviewing code and guiding other developers.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and web app security.
• Comfortable in an Agile environment and independent troubleshooting.
• Ability to contribute to technical design under guidance of a Tech Lead.
• Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and improve full stack web apps using React, TS, JS, Node.js and NestJS.
• Own complex features from technical design through testing, deployment and post-release fixes.
• Build scalable frontend components, REST APIs, backend services and DB integrations.
• Collaborate with the Tech Lead on sprint planning and architecture decisions.
• Follow established architecture, coding standards and best practices.
• Review code and provide guidance to improve quality and security.
• Mentor junior/mid developers as needed.
• Troubleshoot issues across frontend, backend, API, DB and deployment layers.
• Identify risks and areas for performance improvements.
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps during testing, release prep and production issues.
• Produce and maintain technical docs, API specs and handover materials.
• Apply secure coding practices across authentication, input validation and data access.
