Job summary

Octal Philippines Inc. is hiring two Full-Stack Developers, Data Applications to build backend data pipelines and a self-service application layer. You will work on Python pipelines, Snowflake workflows, REST API integrations, and web apps replacing 40+ Alteryx Gallery apps used by five internal teams.

The team uses AI-assisted development with Claude as an active co-author across the engineering lifecycle, ensuring fast delivery in a lean setup with tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Python development, comfortable owning production codebase end-to-end.
• Solid Snowflake SQL with joins, CTEs, window functions and write ops.
• Data pipeline architecture: design pipelines from scratch and justify AWS choices for context.
• REST API experience including OAuth2, pagination, rate limiting, JSON/XML parsing.
• Full-stack capability: Python backend (Flask/FastAPI) with HTML/JS frontend.
• AWS data pipeline architecture: Lambda, Step Functions or Glue, ECS/Fargate or EC2, S3, Secrets Manager, EventBridge.
• Experience with AI-assisted development using Claude, Copilot, GPT-4 or equivalent.
• Experience with agentic coding tools for autonomous AI execution.
• Ability to reverse-engineer undocumented legacy workflows and reproduce outputs.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend data pipelines and self-service web applications end-to-end.
• Design and justify data architectures; select AWS services and implement scalable solutions.
• Collaborate in an AI-assisted development model to accelerate delivery and documentation.
