Job summary

Cerby, a mission-critical cybersecurity company, is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer (Frontend) for the Extensions Team. You will own the quality, performance, and security of the extension end-to-end, collaborating with product, UX, and security-focused engineers in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience building and scaling SaaS applications
• Security-first code reviews and mentoring juniors
• Experience with React/TypeScript and UI across extension surfaces
• Knowledge of REST APIs, data fetching, caching, and state management
• Strong frontend security practices (XSS/CSRF/CORS) and CSP
• Familiarity with modern authentication (OAuth2/OIDC, SAML, WebAuthn)
• Testing (unit/integration/component) and observability
• Nice to have security/compliance exposure and startup experience

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable frontend solutions for the extension surfaces (popup, options, side panel, in-page)
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality features
• Write clean, maintainable code and promote best practices including AI tool integration
• Participate in code reviews and continuously improve development processes
• Champion security-first engineering culture and manage dependencies and risk in frontend stack
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge to accelerate documentation and onboarding
