Private Advertiser in the Philippines seeks an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst to drive financial planning, forecasting, profitability analysis, pricing, and strategic decision-making for a growing US-based company.
This role goes beyond bookkeeping; you will build complex financial models, analyze drivers, present actionable insights, and guide management on pricing, cost optimization, and working capital.
We are looking for an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting, profitability analysis, pricing, and strategic decision-making for a growing U.S.-based company.
This is not a bookkeeping, general accounting, or basic financial reporting position. We are looking for someone with strong hands-on financial modeling experience who can analyze the numbers, identify what is driving the results, and provide management with actionable recommendations.
Build and maintain financial models for revenue, gross profit, gross margin, operating expenses, cash flow, and EBITDA.
Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and longer-term financial projections.
Build pricing and profitability models incorporating selling price, product cost, freight, duties/tariffs, landed cost, volume, and product mix.
Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis for changes in pricing, volume, product mix, freight, sourcing, costs, tariffs, and other assumptions.
Determine required selling prices to achieve target gross margins.
Analyze actual results versus budget and forecast and explain the key drivers behind variances.
Develop EBITDA bridge and gap-to-target analysis.
Analyze profitability by product, customer, and business line.
Analyze historical customer purchasing behavior to identify declining customers, cross-selling opportunities, pricing opportunities, and areas for revenue growth.
Support working-capital analysis, including accounts receivable, inventory, and accounts payable.
Work with large datasets from accounting, ERP, sales, and operational systems.
Build management reporting and analysis that highlights trends, risks, and opportunities.
Provide management with proactive financial insights and recommendations rather than simply reporting numbers.
Work with our finance and data teams to improve and automate financial models and reporting.
Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, financial modeling, or a closely related role
Strong experience building financial models from scratch
Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills
Strong understanding of P&L, revenue, COGS, gross margin, EBITDA, operating expenses, cash flow, and working capital
Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, pricing, profitability, and scenario modeling
Ability to work with large datasets and turn the information into useful financial insights
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Must be comfortable working full-time U.S. Pacific Time hours / Philippine graveyard shift
CPA, CMA, CFA, MBA, Power BI, Power Query, SQL, QuickBooks Online, ERP, manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, inventory, landed-cost, freight/logistics, or tariff experience is a plus.
We are not looking for someone who simply prepares reports. We want someone who can look at the numbers and tell management:What happened? Why did it happen? What is likely to happen next? What should we do about it?
Applicants should be comfortable challenging assumptions, identifying unusual trends, and bringing issues or opportunities to management before being asked.
Please provide a sample financial model that you personally built. Confidential company or client information may be removed. Include a brief explanation of what the model was designed to accomplish and which portions you personally built.
Shortlisted candidates should be prepared to discuss their model and explain the assumptions, formulas, drivers, scenarios, and conclusions during the interview.
