Job summary

NCS Philippines is seeking a Senior Flutter Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable cross-platform mobile apps using Flutter and Dart, while collaborating with backend, UI/UX, and cloud teams.

The ideal candidate will lead architecture and implementation for serverless cloud-backed mobile experiences on AWS, ensure security, performance, and maintainability, and mentor junior engineers across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software/mobile application development experience, with Flutter.
• Strong and proven expertise in Flutter and Dart, including production-grade mobile applications.
• Understanding of Flutter architecture, widget lifecycle, asynchronous programming, navigation, dependency injection, and state management.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Serverless architecture and services: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Cognito, S3, CloudWatch.
• Experience integrating Flutter applications with REST APIs and cloud-based backend services.
• Knowledge of serverless architecture, API design, authentication, authorization, event-driven systems, cloud app architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, automated testing, debugging, and mobile application deployment.
• Strong security, performance optimization, and scalability understanding.
• Experience with at least one state-management approach such as Bloc/Cubit, Riverpod, Provider, or equivalent.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.
• Lead the technical design and architecture of Flutter applications, ensuring scalability, maintainability, security, and performance.
• Develop and integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs, backend services, and AWS serverless components.
• Design and implement solutions using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Cognito, CloudWatch, and other relevant AWS services.
• Work with serverless and event-driven architectures to support scalable mobile applications.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using services such as Amazon Cognito and API-based security mechanisms.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, responsiveness, and resource utilization across mobile and cloud components.
• Implement state management using frameworks such as Bloc, Cubit, Provider, Riverpod, or equivalent.
• Establish and maintain coding standards, design patterns, testing practices, and code review processes.
• Collaborate closely with Product, UI/UX, Backend, QA, DevOps, and Cloud teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot complex application, API, integration, and cloud-related issues.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance on Flutter and mobile engineering best practices.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, logging, and mobile application deployment.
