Job summary

JCVA is seeking a senior accounting professional in Manila to lead and supervise the preparation of financial statements, posting workflows, and reconciliations. You will drive accuracy in reporting and collaborate with auditors, while ensuring compliance with PFRS and BIR regulations.

The role requires 6–10 years of accounting experience, including 1–2 years in supervision, and proficiency in Oracle NetSuite, SAP, and Excel. CPA is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy required.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• 6–10 years progressive accounting experience, including 1–2 years in supervision.
• Strong knowledge of PFRS, IFRS, or GAAP.
• Proficiency in accounting systems (Oracle NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel.
• Experience in financial statement prep, reconciliation management, and audit coordination.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and monthly closings.
• Review balance sheet schedules and income statement analyses.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure accurate posting across ledgers and timely reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor trial balances and reconciliations; resolve discrepancies.
• Assist audits by coordinating requirements and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with PFRS, BIR regulations, and internal policies.
• Prepare filing of tax and regulatory reports with external consultants and internal tax team.
• Recommend and implement process improvements for accounting efficiency.
• Participate in ERP enhancement projects and system alignment (QBO to Oracle NetSuite).
• Assist in master data creation, beginning balance upload, and ERP migration.
