Job summary

Mondiale VGL is seeking a Senior Finance & Accounting Specialist to lead the Manila Shared Service Centre's accounting operations, reporting, budgeting, and cost management. You will ensure statutory compliance and drive process improvements to support growth.

Key duties include daily bookkeeping, reconciliations, and vendor payments using CargoWise; development of monthly reports and P&L analyses; and coordination with external auditors and international stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related field.
• 4–6+ years in accounting/finance, preferably in SSC/ Shared Services.
• Experience with freight/logistics or international teams is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Knowledge of Philippine taxation and BIR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, AP/AR, reconciliations, and postings using CargoWise.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cost monitoring, and financial planning.
• Handle monthly country FTE chargebacks and cost allocations.
• Prepare monthly P&L analysis, variance reports, and management insights.
• Ensure statutory compliance, controls, and audit-ready documentation.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and cross-border finance coordination.

Role Purpose

The Senior Finance & Accounting Specialist will manage the Manila Shared Service Centre’s accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, FTE cost management, and country chargebacks. The role ensures financial accuracy, statutory compliance, and effective cost management while supporting SSC growth and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and financial transactions using CargoWise and other relevant systems.
• Support SSC budgeting, forecasting, cost monitoring, and financial planning.
• Manage monthly country FTE chargebacks, cost allocations, and related reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, P&L analysis, budget variance reports, and management insights.
• Ensure compliance with Philippine tax, payroll, and statutory requirements, including coordination with external accountants and auditors.
• Maintain effective financial controls, governance, and audit-ready documentation.
• Drive finance process improvements, automation, and standardization to support the growth and scalability of the Shared Service Centre.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
• 4–6+ years of experience in accounting, finance, management accounting, or a similar role.
• Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, BPO, or Shared Services environments.
• Strong practical knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and FTE costing or internal chargebacks.
• Knowledge of Philippine taxation, BIR compliance, and statutory requirements.
• Proficiency in Excel, financial analysis, and data reconciliation.
• Experience working with international stakeholders, multiple entities, or regional operations.
• Strong attention to detail, financial accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with CargoWise One Accounting Module.
• Experience managing FTE-based or service-based charging models.
• Background in finance process improvement, automation, and working with international Finance teams.
