Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems to ensure 24/7 operational readiness for BPO production floors. You will lead technicians, implement preventive maintenance, and manage vendor relationships.

Ideal candidates hold a licensed mechanical or electrical engineering degree with 7+ years in facilities or building systems, and have strong HVAC/electrical knowledge and regulatory compliance experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed mechanical or electrical engineer with at least 7 years of experience in facilities or building systems.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems and critical BPO infrastructure.
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and coordinating with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection)
• Lead, mentor, and supervise building technicians and maintenance staff
• Implement preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs
• Ensure 24/7 operational readiness to support BPO production floors
• Manage, operate, and troubleshoot facilities equipment including Air Conditioning, UPS, Generators and electrical panels
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform root-cause analysis with corrective actions
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations, building codes and environmental standards
• Manage vendor relationships, service level agreements, and project supervision
• Maintain records of equipment logs, maintenance reports and asset documentation
• Support energy-efficiency initiatives and cost-effective building operations
• Respond to facility emergencies and provide on-call coverage as needed

About The Role

As aCBRE Building Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and repairing building system operations and the performance of various areasincluding plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.

This jobis part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They areresponsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs onequipment and systems.

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection)
• Lead, mentor, and supervise building technicians and maintenance staff
• Implement preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs
• Ensure 24/7 operational readiness to support BPO production floors
• Manage, operate, and troubleshoot BPO-critical facilities equipment (Air Conditioning, Air Handling, UPS systems, Generators, ATS, switchgears, electrical panels, FDAS, sprinklers, FM200, water pumps, STP/grease traps, plumbing infrastructure, elevators, AHUs, chillers, cooling towers)
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform root-cause analysis, and apply sustainable corrective actions
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards
• Manage vendor relationships, service level agreements, and technical project supervision
• Maintain records of equipment logs, maintenance reports, and asset documentation
• Support energy-efficiency initiatives and cost-effective building operations
• Respond to facility emergencies and provide on-call coverage as needed

About You

• Licensed Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 7 years of experience in Facilities or Building systems.
• Significant experience in facilities or building engineering within BPO or commercial environments
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, and critical BPO infrastructure
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams
• Knowledge of safety standards, local codes, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication, coordination, and vendor management skills
• Amenable to work on a shifting schedule, 6 days a week, weekends/ holidays
• Can start ASAP
