The Qualifications We Seek
- Minimum of 3 years of external audit experience within a public accounting, assurance, audit, or related professional services environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word; experience using audit, accounting, financial reporting, or related business software is an advantage
- Preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Strong understanding of audit methodologies, risk assessment, internal controls, compliance requirements, documentation practices, and professional standards
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound professional judgment, and maintain accountability for deliverables
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities
- Proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset
- Highly organized with strong planning, time management, and prioritization skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, quality, integrity, and professional excellence
- Adaptable and resilient when managing changing priorities and deadlines
Your Daily Tasks
- Manage audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality outcomes, and compliance with professional standards
- Perform audit procedures, analyses, testing, reviews, and documentation, including the preparation and maintenance of audit workpapers and supporting records
- Evaluate processes, controls, and financial information to identify risks, findings, and opportunities for improvement
- Contribute to team discussions, knowledge-sharing activities, and continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain the accuracy, quality, and completeness of engagement documentation while coordinating priorities and resolving issues that may impact timelines or deliverables
- Provide guidance, support, and technical assistance to team members as needed
- Participate in training, self-development, and continuous learning initiatives while staying current with professional standards, industry developments, tools, and best practices
- Complete administrative requirements, including time recording, engagement tracking, and record maintenance
- Monitor budgets, timelines, and deliverables, escalating concerns when necessary and ensuring compliance with internal processes and quality standards
- Contribute recommendations that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and overall quality
