OceanaGold (Philippines) Inc. invites applications for a Senior Engineer - Electrical(Projects) to directly manage delivery of a portfolio of major site electrical projects at the Didipio mine, Luzon.

The role is fixed-term for 2 years and reports to the Superintendent - Electrical Projects. Key requirements include 5+ years in project delivery within heavy industry, a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, and a valid PRC license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in project delivery within heavy industry.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (required).
• Registered Electrical Engineer with a valid PRC license (required).
• Professional Electrical Engineer certification (desirable).
• Project management qualifications (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence in the field whilst on-site by completing Critical Control Verifications (CCVs) with peers from the Project Development and Construction teams.
• Ensure that design works for projects under management are carried out using risk management tools including FRA's, HAZOP's, CHAZOP's, SIL Studies, Design and Constructability Reviews.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Project Engineers, Construction Coordinators and other stakeholders to clarify design requirements and solve design problems.
• Prepare project documentation for all phases of project delivery including URS, SoW and PEP.
• Set up and run interface meetings with operational departments to manage project interactions.
• Ensure that projects under management are completed to the required specifications.
• Maintain Quality Management Documentation (ITPs, FICs, FTR) for projects under management.
• Undergo continuous improvement across all areas of accountability.

Job Description

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company's only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.

OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Senior Engineer - Electrical(Projects) to directly manage the delivery of a portfolio of major site electrical projects reporting to the Superintendent - Electrical Projects.

Fixed term: 2 years

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Maintain a visible presence in the field whilst on-site by completing Critical Control Verifications (CCVs) with peers from the Project Development and Construction teams
• Ensure that design works for projects under management are carried out using the appropriate risk management tools including FRA's, HAZOP's, CHAZOP's, SIL Studies, Design and Constructability Reviews
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Project Engineers, Construction Coordinators and other key stakeholders as required to clarify design requirements and solve design problems
• Responsible for the preparation of project documentation for all phases of project delivery including Concept Studies, User Requirement Specifications (URS), Scope of Work (SoW) and Project Execution Plan (PEP)
• Responsible for ensuring that interface meetings are set up and carried out with operational departments to ensure interactions associated with projects under management are identified and managed
• Responsible for ensuring that projects under management are completed to the required specifications
• Ensure that all Quality Management Documentation is maintained for projects under management in accordance with the Quality Management Plan including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Field Inspection Checklists (FICs) and Field Test Record (FTR) documents
• Undertake a program of continuous improvement across all areas of accountability
